A Member of the Senedd enjoyed a special Christmas experience when he paid a visit to a local holiday park last week to congratulate the team on maintaining their 5-star accreditation.
Darren Millar, who represents Clwyd West, was invited to visit Ty Mawr Holiday Park after he recently wrote to them to applaud them for their latest achievement.
With Christmas just around the corner, Darren was delighted to experience their Winter Wonderland, which is proving to be a huge hit with both locals and holiday makers alike.
Speaking after his visit, Darren said:
“It is always a pleasure to visit Ty Mawr in Towyn, which has been a popular tourist destination in my constituency for many years.
“The team there go above and beyond to ensure that everyone who visits the park has the best time and I was therefore not surprised to hear that they have maintained their five-star accreditation, the highest possible rating, following an assessment from Visit Wales.
“They were first awarded five-star from their last inspection in 2022, so I am thrilled that they have managed to maintain this high standard.
“The “excellent” rating was awarded to Ty Mawr Holiday Park based on its quality, consistency, and facilities.
“I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with General Manager, Marcin, and warmly congratulate him and the rest of the team at Ty Mawr in person on this fantastic and well-deserved achievement, and to thank them for the high-quality service they provide for so many visitors to our area, and the continued investment in the locality.”
Darren added:
“Earlier this year, Parkdean Resorts, which owns Ty Mawr, invested almost £250,000 into upgrading accommodation at the park, an investment which is clearly paying off, with holidaymakers flocking from all over to visit.
“Despite there being so much to do in the local area, visitors don’t really need to leave the park for entertainment, with such a variety of activities in the park itself, including high ropes, bungee trampolines, adventure golf, hoverboards, virtual reality games, and an indoor swimming pool.
“And for the festive season they have a wonderful Winter Wonderland, which I was fortunate to experience. It is the ultimate Christmas experience, featuring ice skating, pantomimes and many more action-packed activities. It is open to locals as well as those staying at the park, and I would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for some festive fun.
“I trust that Ty Mawr will continue to flourish, and I wish them continued success in 2025.”
