Commenting on the third Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Special Measures update from the Labour Health Minister, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for North Wales, Darren Millar MS said:
“Nine months ago, the Labour Health Minister put the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board back into special measures after the Labour Ministers made the political decision to prematurely take them out ahead of the last Senedd election.
“Since assuming this enhanced level of responsibility over North Wales’ struggling Health Board, the Labour Government has yet to deliver the significant improvements to front line services that the people of North Wales deserve and senior NHS managers have gone unpunished for their failings and incompetence.
“We need action, not words, and the lack of progress to date is unacceptable.”
