Clwyd West MS Darren Millar has applauded HSBC for investing in its Ruthin branch.
With so many bank closures throughout Conwy and Denbighshire in recent years, Darren was pleased to hear that HSBC plan to carry out refurbishment works in their Ruthin branch to improve facilities for customers.
He said:
“We have seen so many banks close in the past few years, and whilst I appreciate the rise in the number of people using the internet and telephone banking, I do believe that having an accessible local Branch is still important for older people, those without transport, those without internet access, shopkeepers and small businesses.
“I therefore very much welcome HSBC’s investment in its Ruthin branch and thank them for considering their customers needs. I look forward to seeing the improvements on completion.”
HSBC is refurbishing the Ruthin branch, along with Bala. They plan to close at 2pm on Friday until 12th October to enable them to carry out the works.
