Clwyd West MS Darren Millar recently visited and presented certificates to an “invaluable and inspirational” group of people in recognition of their dedication to improving lives and creating better futures for the local community.
Darren visited Creating Enterprise CIC, a subsidiary of Cartrefi Conwy, at their Abergele offices last week to find out more about their latest work and to present certificates to the volunteers who are the backbone of the organization.
Creating Enterprise started trading in 2015 and has quickly grown into the Social Contractor of Choice for North Wales. They provide a range of contracting and development services to clients across the public and private sector.
They also deliver essential property services, on behalf of Cartrefi Conwy to 3,800 tenants across Conwy. These include property maintenance, gas servicing, clearances of empty homes, sparkle cleans and environmental improvements.
They have recently diversified their activities into modular construction and have opened their first modular build factory in Holyhead, where they are constructing timber frame passive house units to a Beattie Passive design.
All of Creating Enterprise commercial profits are invested into social purpose which is to help tenants and local people into employment initiatives.
