Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar has praised staff and pupils at a rural Denbighshire school after paying them a visit last week.
Darren was very impressed by what he saw when he called in at Ysgol Gellifor, near Ruthin, on Friday and met with staff and the school council.
He said:
“It is always a pleasure to visit Ysgol Gellifor; it’s a lovely, friendly school where children thrive.
“The pupils are a credit to both the school and their parents and I enjoyed meeting them all.
“Members of the school council were confident communicators and care passionately about representing the views of their classmates; it is great to see young people being so actively involved in their school.
“Ysgol Gellifor is rated as a ‘good’ school by Estyn and it is easy to see why this is the case.
“I would like to thank the school for inviting me to visit and I wish them all the very best for the future.”
