Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar came under the spotlight this week when he was grilled by a group of Denbighshire pupils.
Darren visited St Brigid’s in Denbigh on Monday to speak to Year 8 pupils about his role as an AM and to take questions.
Darren said:
“It was a grilling, but I enjoyed it! It was a real pleasure to spend time with these young people who showed a keen interest in Welsh politics.
“They really put me in the hot seat and I was very impressed by the high standard of questions they fired at me.
“The questions they asked covered an array of topics including the voting age, tax, how to get involved in politics and the Welsh Government’s proposed smacking ban.
“Our young people are our future and our democracy will only work if both current and future members of the electorate exercise their hard won right to hold politicians to account and to vote."
