Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has welcomed today’s announcement by the Conservative UK Government of 370 million to secure the future of the UK’s Post Office network.
The funding will enable Post Offices to extend opening hours, cut queue times and protect rural branches.
Today’s funding brings the total invested in the Post Office network since 2010 to 2 billion, and will secure the future of the network.
It will help to ensure everyone continues to have access to their local branch.
Welcoming the news Darren said:
“Our local Post Office branches are at the heart of communities right across North Wales
“Customers and small businesses rely on their local branch every day to access a wide range of services. With this funding we are ensuring that our post offices are fit for the future.
“For the first time in decades, the Post Office network is stable and the new funding announced today will mean it can continue to improve services for local people.”
