Staff and pupils at a Colwyn Bay School received a special visit today from a Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary.
Education Secretary, Kirsty Williams, paid a visit to Ysgol Pen y Bryn in Colwyn Bay following an invitation by Clwyd West AM Darren Millar.
She took part in an assembly which commemorated the Aberfan disaster as well as meeting pupils and staff, taking part in a Chinese lesson and mindfulness session.
Darren said:
“I am very pleased that the Education Secretary found time to come and witness the excellent practice at Ysgol Pen y Bryn today.
“I know the staff and children enjoyed having her and showing off their fantastic school.
“The school governors, staff and pupils at Ysgol Pen y Bryn work extremely hard and I am delighted that they were given this opportunity to showcase the results of their efforts. I’m proud to have such an excellent school in my constituency.”
