Clwyd West AM Darren Millar attended an event on Saturday to celebrate the launch of Kinmel Bay Community Library.
The event highlighted the many things which are on offer at the library, including ancestry, craft and science clubs, in addition to book clubs for old and young alike.
Children from the Rhyl Air Cadets and local schools were also present, including a choir from Ysgol Maes Owen in Kinmel Bay.
Newly elected Mayor of Towyn and Kinmel Bay, Cllr Eddie Bateman, was also in attendance.
Darren said:
“This is an excellent facility for the local community which will benefit people of all ages. The library is at the heart of the community and brings people together in ways that will build and perpetuate lasting friendships and an appreciation for education.
“Community library services are an exciting development that sees council library services housed in centres that are run by community organisations providing a mix of activities for local people.
“I would like to commend the trustees of the charity which has taken on this community asset and all those involved in setting up the library in Kinmel Bay, I am sure it will be very well used.”
