Clwyd West AM Darren Millar helped members of a Colwyn Bay Scout troop gain one of their badges this week.
Darren visited 6th Colwyn Bay Scouts on Tuesday evening to talk about his role as an Assembly Member and to answer questions from the group as part of their Democracy Challenge Badge.
He said:
“I had a really enjoyable evening with the group. They seemed very interested in politics and asked some excellent questions about local and national issues such as Colwyn Bay pier and organ donation.
"I am delighted that ScoutsWales are offering scouts the opportunity to learn about politics and democracy and that I was able to assist them in gaining their Democracy Challenge badge.
“I was very impressed with the group and their leaders and would recommend the troop to any youngsters in the area who have a sense of adventure.
"Anyone interested in joining the Scouts should go along on a Tuesday night to the Bryn Cadno Community Centre in Colwyn Heights (Upper Colwyn Bay) at 7.30pm. The troop welcomes boys and girls and has a good mix of ages.”
