Clwyd West AM Darren Millar is joining forces with Breast Cancer Campaign to raise awareness of its award winning fundraising event, ‘wear it pink’ which will take place on Friday.
Over the last 10 years ‘wear it pink’ has raised a staggering £23 million and on Friday 25October 2013 people will come together in schools, colleges and businesses across Wales to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Campaign’s lifesaving research.
Darren said:
"Every year in Wales around 2,500 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, along with around 13 men. Sadly, around 615 women die from the disease each year in Wales. This is why we need to support Breast Cancer Campaign’s fundraising efforts so they can continue to fund research which will one day lead to a cure.
"I know people who have lost friends and family members to the disease and would like to encourage everyone in my constituency of Clwyd West and throughout the country to support ‘wear it pink’ this Friday, to raise valuable funds for breast cancer research."
Breast Cancer Campaign vitally needs the money raised from ‘wear it pink’ for its researchers to have the best possible chance to find the cure.
