Responding to Lord Wigley’s comments on Senedd reform, Darren Millar MS, Shadow Minister for the Constitution, said:
“These are fundamental changes to how the people of Wales elect their representatives in Cardiff Bay.
“Nobody in Wales outside of Cardiff Bay has had a chance to have a real say on these proposals and that is a smack in the face for the democracy that the Bill's supporters say they want to strengthen.
“Any significant changes to the voting system for any national parliament should be subject to giving the public their say by holding a referendum - and that includes these proposals for change."
