Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar was on hand at a Denbighshire supermarket last week to help collect food for those in need.
Darren visited Tesco in Ruthin recently to help with collections for the Vale of Clwyd Foodbank.
He said: ”I was very pleased to lend my support to this extremely worthy cause. Tesco shoppers were extremely generous and I would like to thank everyone who donated food items.
“Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.
“Vale of Clwyd Foodbank does a fantastic job of supporting people who find themselves in a desperate situation and I want to pay tribute to the dedication of volunteers, many of whom are from local churches, for their efforts.”
The Foodbank is based at Capel Mawr, Chapel Street, Denbigh, and is open Monday and Friday: 10:30am - 1:00pm.
