Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has congratulated this year’s winner of his annual Christmas card competition.
Once again, hundreds of children from every corner of the constituency entered the competition and Darren’s constituency office in Abergele was inundated with designs. The theme for this year was an Olympic Christmas.
As always the contest was a tough one, but Darren eventually chose nine-year-old, Eira Deakin of Rhos Street School, Ruthin, as the overall winner with her design of five golden rings.
Darren, who presented Eira with her certificate at the school on Tuesday, said:
"It’s always tough to choose a winner and I want to thank all the children who took part in the competition this year – their pictures were brilliant and are helping to brighten up my office in the run-up to Christmas.
‘My Christmas card will be sent out across the local area soon and I’m sure that everyone who receives a copy will be impressed by Eira’s design."
