Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has applauded progress on the new 31 million Conwy County Borough Council offices in Colwyn Bay following a recent visit to the site.
The offices, which are due to be completed by October, will house 750 Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) employees from the social services, education, housing, planning and community development sectors.
Darren recently visited the development with the Council’s Leader, Cllr Gareth Jones, and was impressed by progress.
He said:
“The project is progressing well and is on target for opening later this year.
“The construction is being carried out by local businesses and I applaud all of them for the fantastic work they are carrying out. It is an iconic design and when complete will be an extremely impressive building, a real asset to Colwyn Bay.
“One of the main objectives of the project was to re-stimulate the Colwyn Bay economy and shops have already begun to open in anticipation.
"It was great to see the progress to date on my visit and I look forward to returning later in the year to see the completed project.”
The new offices will act as one of the Councils main buildings along with their bases at Conwy, Mochdre and Bodlondeb.
