Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Paul Davies AM, have commended a Denbighshire farm after visiting it last week.
Darren and the Shadow Cabinet Secretary visited Clyttir Farm in Llanbedr DC near Ruthin.
At peak production the farm, which is an RSPCA Freedom Foods business, produces more than 20,000 eggs per day from around 12,000 free range hens.
It supplies UK supermarkets and there is also a farm shop on site to buy farm produced eggs and honey direct from the farm.
Darren said:
“I am extremely proud to have this fantastic farm here in my constituency and very much enjoyed my visit last week.
“We enjoyed a very tasty breakfast on the farm and met with farmers David and Gill Sharples and their son Tom who gave us a tour of the operation.
“They are operating an extremely successful business and I wish them all the luck for the future.”
Paul Davies AM added:
“I was very impressed by what I saw on my visit to Clyttir Farm and was pleased to meet David and Gill Sharples and their son Tom and hear about their successful business and to discuss issues and concerns regarding farming. I would like to thank them for inviting us to visit and allowing us to taste their delicious produce.”
