Pupils from Colwyn Bay had a taste of political life during a visit to the National Assembly in Cardiff Bay this week.
Ysgol Pen y Bryn pupils visited Cardiff to learn more about law making by the Assembly and Welsh Government. During their visit they met with their local Assembly Member Darren Millar and watched questions to the First Minister.
Speaking after the visit Darren said:
‘I was impressed with the questions from the children today and their level of knowledge. They were very interested in all aspects of the National Assembly and my life as an Assembly member for the area.
‘With the National Assembly having greater powers and facing more challenges than ever before, it’s really encouraging to see young people taking such an interest in politics. I hope this visit gave pupils a taster for political life.’
