Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has welcomed news that a village post office in his constituency is to be improved.

Post Office Limited have announced that the Betws yn Rhos Post Office is to undergo an “exciting programme of investment and transformation” into one of the Post Office’s new style branches, creating a more modern and convenient retail experience for customers that will include longer opening hours.

Darren said:

“This is great news for the people of Betws yn Rhos The Post Office is at the heart of so many communities, providing vital services to residents and businesses, but unfortunately in recent years we have witnessed many communities losing these assets. It is therefore always great to see investment in Post Office services and I am sure that customers old and new in Betws yn Rhos will welcome the new look facility and longer opening hours.”

Post Office Limited are planning to make the changes in March/April 2018 and will be putting up a poster up in branch at least two weeks before to let customers know the exact date.

To get the new branch ready may require the closure of the Post Office for up to seven days, during this period the Abergele branch will be happy to provide customers with Post Office services.
