Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar has welcomed news that Kinmel Bay Post Office is set to be transformed.
Post Office Limited have decided to change the Post Office branch to one of their new main style branches.
The change is part of the Post Office’s ongoing modernisation of its branch network. Over the last five years over 7,500 branches have been transformed so more customers can access Post Office products and services in a modern and friendly environment, often over longer hours including Sundays.
Darren said:
“I am delighted that Kinmel Bay Post Office is the latest set to benefit from this modernisation programme.
“Once the renovations have been completed, customers will be able to access Post Office services in a modern, open-plan environment alongside the operator’s retail. Customer satisfaction with main style branches stands at 95 per cent and I am confident customers in Kinmel Bay will be just as satisfied with the improvements at their Post Office.
“The Post Office is at the heart of so many communities, providing vital services to residents and businesses, but unfortunately in recent years we have witnessed many communities losing these assets. It is therefore always great to see investment in Post Office services and I am sure that customers old and new in Kinmel Bay will welcome the reinstatement of these services in their village and support them accordingly .”
The new-look Post Office is scheduled to open at the current location on Wednesday 10 October 2018 at 1pm.
It will need to close for refurbishment on Saturday 01 September 2018 at 12:30pm. If there are any unforeseen schedule changes which mean these dates change, posters will be displayed in branch to let customers know.
