Clwyd West MS Darren Millar has welcomed the introduction of mobile floodlights at Kinmel Bay FC which will allow players to keep training through the winter months.

During a visit to a Kinmel Bay FC junior training session Darren said - 

“It is great to see that Sports Wales’ ‘Be Active Wales Fund’ has been used so effectively by the club. 

“Anyone who has played football will know how much less opportunity there is to train as the shorter nights draw in. 

“This investment will allow the team to make the most of their training sessions, which is so important after the coronavirus pandemic disrupted so much grassroots football over the last eighteen months.

“I hope that Sports Wales will continue to support grass roots football in North Wales with simple but effective grants like this.

“I would urge any club looking for funding to get restarted after COVID to get in touch with Sports Wales to see what assistance may be available.”
