On their last day of in-school learning before the festive break, pupils at two Kinmel Bay schools were presented with an early gift thanks to the generosity of a prominent local businessman.
Adam Williams of Tir Prince Raceway donated hundreds of Christmas selection boxes for pupils at Ysgol Y Foryd and Ysgol Maes Owen in Kinmel Bay and asked Clwyd West MS Darren Millar, and Kinmel Bay Cllrs Geoff Corry and Barry Griffiths to help him deliver the gifts to the Kinmel Bay schools on Friday.
Darren said:
“I always enjoy visiting schools in my constituency, but it is particularly special going in before Christmas.
“The festive period is such a precious time of the year for children and it was great to see that despite all that is going on in the world, they were still in high spirits and very much looking forward to Santa’s imminent arrival.
“There is no doubt that all children have had a very disruptive time since the start of the pandemic and have faced much disappointment in the past 21 months, so it was a real pleasure to be able to join Adam Williams and local councillors to help deliver an early treat for pupils. A huge thank you to Adam and Tir Prince Raceway for such a generous gesture.”
Cllr Geoff Corry, who organised the presentation said:
"Many thanks to Adam Williams and Tir Prince Raceway for their generous sponsorship of these gifts for the children. It's lovely to see local businesses being so generous and I hope that it helps to bring some Christmas joy for all the pupils."
