Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has had his first meeting in his new role as Shadow Minister for Older People with the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales.

Darren, who also remains Shadow Minister for Health, was appointed last Tuesday following a call from the Commissioner herself for each party to have a spokesperson.

Darren said:

"Wales has the highest proportion of people aged over 65 in the UK and the Commissioner was right to call for a stronger voice for them. It was good to meet her in the Assembly and discuss how we can work together to ensure that the needs of our older people are addressed."
