Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has praised the latest improvements to Llanddulas Youth and Community Centre after attending an Open Day at the much used village facility.
The Open Day, which took place on Friday, was organised to showcase the recent works funded by a£27,800 WREN grant. They include new windows and outside cladding to the building.
Darren said:
"I was extremely impressed by the improvements which not only make the building more visually attractive, but will also help reduce future running costs by reducing heat loss.
"These works are the latest in a line of improvements which have been carried out at the centre over the years and I am sure all those who use the building will enjoy the improved facilities.
"The Open Day was a great success, it was lovely to see the community coming together to celebrate a facility which the village can be really proud of.
"While I was there we were entertained by a choir from Ysgol Llanddulas and had a tour of the facilities with various organisations who use the Centre."
He added:
"I want to congratulate the Centre's committee for it's hard work in securing the funds for these improvements."
The tape for the re-opening was cut by former Conwy councillor, Mrs Brenda Taylor, who has been a member of the Committee for the centre since early 1970’s.
WREN is a not for profit business that awards grants to community, environmental and heritage projects across the UK.
