A creative youngster was rewarded for her efforts when she won first prize in Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar’s annual Christmas card competition.
Seven-year-old Bella Hayes, of St Joseph’s School in Colwyn Bay, was selected from hundreds of entries to win the competition to design an official Christmas card for Darren.
The theme of the 2017 competition, which was open to schools in Conwy and Denbighshire, was 'my favourite Christmas song’ and Bella created an impressive picture of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Darren said:
“I was delighted that so many local schools took part in my annual Christmas Card competition.
“The standard of the designs was again very high and it is always difficult to select a winner, but this year my favourite design was by the very talented Bella Hayes.
Bella’s winning design was sent out to hundreds of people.
