“I am delighted that so many beaches in Clwyd West have received these significant awards.
“Not only does a Blue Flag show locals and visitors that they have arrived at a clean, safe and beautiful beach, it is also a mark of quality that sets the beach out as an asset to its community and local businesses that will drive and increase tourism.
“With more and more people choosing to visit North Wales, the importance of developing and maintaining these beauty spots and maintaining excellent water quality has never been more important.”
Wales has seen an increase in the number of international Blue Flag Awards with 41 beaches and one marina in Wales being awarded a Blue Flag Award- eight more than last year. A further 30 beaches successfully obtained the Green Coast Award and 102 beaches across Wales gained a Seaside Award for their good water quality and facilities.
