It was a Valentine’s Day to remember for pupils from Ysgol Bod Alaw in Colwyn Bay who took part in an “We love Wales” campaign organised by Keep Wales Tidy.
Pupils from Ysgol Bod Alaw were joined by their local Assembly Member Darren Millar to take part in a range of activities to help keep their school tidy. As part of the “We love Wales” campaign, pupils collected 7 bags of litter from the area around the school and with the support of Keep Wales Tidy they also and did some gardening and planted some trees.
Darren Millar said:
“The pupils had a fantastic day improving the local area and I was delighted to join them to plant an apple tree.
“Their hard work was part of an Eco-Day and it was great to see the children learning about the environment and enjoying themselves in the process.
“My congratulations to all the pupils and teachers who worked hard today to keep their part of Wales tidy.”
