Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar was pleased to welcomed Bishop Gregory of St Asaph to the Senedd last week for a discussion on transgender issues.

Bishop Gregory joined members of the Assembly Cross Party Group on Faith at their Wednesday meeting, the topic for which was ‘Transgender Issues: Faith Perspectives’.

The Bishop gave a thought provoking opening address to those who gathered.

“I was extremely pleased to welcome Bishop Gregory to the Senedd for this important discussion. He played a fundamental role at the meeting and those in attendance, including myself, very much welcomed his input.   

“It is important to have open and respectful discussions about the range of views held by people of faith on these issues, some of whom have struggled to respond to the changes in society around us.”
