Clwyd West AM Darren Milllar has welcomed the rollout of Conwy County Borough Council’s Trolibocs recycling container system to households in Conwy, which began this week in Kinmel Bay.
Throughout the county, 41,000 suitable households are set to receive the new, stackable recycling boxes between November 2014 and March 2015.
Darren said he was "very excited to see households throughout Conwy receive this innovative recycling system."
He noted how well-received the Trolibocs has been since it was trialled in 2013 within his constituency.
He said:
"I believe we should do everything we can to help residents recycle more. The new boxes have made recycling simpler, and they help keep the streets looking much tidier."
Conwy has one of the highest recycling rates in Wales with 56% of household waste in Conwy being recycled and composted in 2014, and the Council aims to increase recycling rates over the next few years.
