Clwyd West MS Darren Millar has applauded GPs and staff in Gwrych Medical Centre for their hard work throughout the pandemic during a visit to the centre earlier this week.
Darren visited the practice to discuss how doctors had reacted to the pandemic and the challenges facing general practice going forward.
Speaking after his visit Darren said –
“The coronavirus pandemic presented GPs with massive challenges, and it is clear to see that the team here have tackled those challenges head on.
“At each turn this team has adapted rapidly in response to the pressures of the pandemic and done a great job by continuing to support patients across Abergele.
“Gwrych Medical Centre has played a vital role in rolling out coronavirus vaccines and it is great to see them now getting flu jabs to those who are eligible.
“Gwrych Medical Centre offers its patients the choice of face to face, telephone and virtual appointments. Despite media reports many GP surgeries in North Wales are working hard to allow patients the opportunity to speak to their GP in person.
“On behalf of my constituents I would like to extend my thanks to everyone at Gwrych Medical Centre for their hard work over the last eighteen months.”
