Commenting on the news that the UK Conservative Government have announced 320 new civil service jobs to be based in Wrexham, Shadow Minister for North Wales, Darren Millar MS said:
“I welcome the news that Wrexham will be the beneficiary of a substantial investment in public sector jobs, bringing government closer to the people of North Wales.
“While the Labour Welsh Government siphon investment away from the North to fund pet projects in the South, the UK Conservative Government are creating 320 well-paying jobs in North Wales.”
Also commenting Welsh Conservative Shadow Economy Minister, Paul Davies MS, Welsh Conservative said:
"The Department for Work and Pensions has committed to recruiting to fill 270 new roles which will be based in Wrexham, as well the Ministry of Justice who have committed to place 50 roles in Wrexham rather than London.
“This is great news for Wrexham and for the local economy in North Wales.
“The UK Conservative Government are committed to levelling up Wales, spreading opportunity for both public and private sector investment.”
