Denbighshire County Council recently introduced parking charges at Rhyl Harbour which came as a surprise to locals in Kinmel Bay and other areas, none of whom were consulted prior to the charges being imposed.

The free parking has been a lifeline for the businesses operating at the harbour, and it is also important for local residents and groups who walk along parts of the coastal path for their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

I have urged the Leader of Denbighshire County Council to undertake an urgent review of the charges at Rhyl Harbour Car Park with a view to reverting to free parking as soon as possible.
